Reimagining Tinker Hatfield's 1990 design, this pair honors the AJ5 through the lens of a brand deeply connected to New York's rich cultural landscape throughout all the boroughs. Featuring a jagged midsole, bump-out collar, and clear vented panels with a premium black leather upper, the Brand & Awake NY Air 5 Retro boasts a co-branded Racer Blue logo, a Metallic Silver tongue, and a matching logo that reveals through the translucent outsole. Finishing the legendary look, Awake NY's signature "A" logo is built into the vented side panels, and the right shoe swaps out the traditional "23" for "NY" on the outer heel, while the left shoe keeps it original.
